Artist Profile

Jean Arp was a Dada artist that was very intelligent. Over the time in his career being an artist, he was very abstract in his work and was a founder of Dada. All the movements he was in, for example hanging out with Surrealists, and his playful, amoeba forms had a huge impact on his art. The most impact was mainly in the Performance movement of art. Besides doing Dada artwork that he was fantastic at, he also worked in collage and printmaking. Some of his famous works are, Collage Arranged According to the Laws of Chance, Configuration, and Torso.
